Assignment for Today - Part One
Develop a research question from some aspect of the article that the group has chosen.

Select one of the research databases from the Finding Articles section of the writing research guide.
Search for articles using the search words.
Remember to use keywords, subjects, truncation, AND, OR, phrases to help you focus your search.

My Favorite Research Tip: The asterisk (*)
Many students have discovered that the asterisk (*) is used to search for variations on a word. For example teen* will find the words teen, teens, teenager, teenagers, etc. Remember to use this truncation feature in order to get greater flexibility in your search strategy.

Learned about different databases I can use.
I learned how to use the advanced searches better and what keywords to use.
I learned a lot of new databases to use. All the datebases worked very well and help out a lot.

I learned how to use the databases which will not only help me in biology class but my writing class as well.
I learned that when using gale, if I don't want to lose my search info, use the trail links.
I learned by putting quotation marks around the subject you are searching it will give more of a spacific search pertaining only to your subject
I have never used more than a couple of searches, but now I know about some othyer ones like todays science

this was very helpful for finding good sources. also you showed many helpful data bases.
Kim, I thought tha your presentation was informative, but in turn we are college students that have grown up with the internet so i feel that it would be better if you stream lined your presentation to keep interest.
I learned that I could use the databases for other classes than a writing class. I did not know that there were science links.
